The translator: a tribesman's memoir of Darfur

This book is a first-person account of Daoud Hari, a tribesman in the Darfur region of Sudan, who was among the hundreds of thousands of villagers driven from their homes by Sudanese-government-backed militia groups. Hari offers himself as a translator to aid groups to save his people.
